The wisdom of the market

Posted on April 28, 2008 at 10:47am 0 Comments

The foundation of technical analysis is the effectiveness of the market's prescience. Market prices and the trends that historical price patterns show reflect the discounted value of a security given the available information broadly disseminated. Market technicians recognize the wisdom of the market. Indeed, the wisdom of the crowd is a powerful article of faith in many and all markets. I have a short idea that we are possibly entering, I will have a little better idea next week, a bear rally. Likely it will be profitably short and powerful. Then the market world will continue to crumble away. The indexes are nothing but a mass of double tops and youthful head and should formations. A number of them have already broken their neck lines and are rebounding to give some excellant shorting and put positions. Time will tell.

Hi Skotlook forward to the site and others comments. I will retire at the end of July/08 and may do some partime work after that. I am looking forward to relaxing a bit more and who knows what will come up.

Hi Skot. Yes, use "mutual fund refugee" as much as you like. The biggest challenge facing the money management industry in the future will be dealing with computer savvy, well informed consumers of
financial products. The investor in a mutual fund puts up all the money, takes all the risk, and then the financial advisor, money managers, mutual fund co. etc., all well aware of how rocky the returns are likely to be, pay them selves out of capitol.

Just a note of apology to members here...I have been unable to spend much time with the market or Stock Trends due to a serious concern for my wife's twin sister, who is battling cancer. Once you enter the world of cancer, it takes us places far more important than work or play. Suzanne is a special woman who has been dealt serious medical hardship for many years, but has always fought her illnesses bravely. She deserves much better.
